Kitchen storage… can you have too much of it? Short answer. No! I often find that this is something that clients need more of and would say that its absolutely essential for families. When planning for your kitchen renovation, it’s important to be strategic. You want to think through how you use your kitchen daily, how you use it for entertaining and really come up with a design that incorporates what you’ll need. Today I’m sharing some features that you can easily incorporate into increase your storage.
This will not only increase your storage, but will also make the ceiling appear taller and more up-to-date.
You could add in a wet bar or self-serve beverage station near the kitchen. This would be perfect for guests to serve themselves while entertaining. Another great option would be to add an area to store specialty dishes or linens.
This is an absolute must-have, islands are not just for functional seating and food prep. They are a great place to add storage space to the kitchen because this is were most people spend a lot of time. Imagine rolling out your well organized drawer with all your serving essentials right where you are prepping food. Great right? The idea is to make your life easier and your kitchen to work for your specific needs.
Choose drawers for lower cabinets instead of doors so items don’t get lost in the back.
These additional storage solutions will not only enhance the functionality of the kitchen, but simplify your life. We could all use a little of that, am I right?
